Nelson records 'The frame is all of adzed timber, including roof rafters, main uprights 6 by 6inch set into the ground and about 12 inch high, sheathed half way up with the bark, roof (of very high pitch) covered with galvanised iron, two end walls galvanised iron, two doors at end at sides and one in the middle to pulpit, all window openings (three on each side, two at back and two at front) unglazed,door openings one on each side no doors, earth floor'. |
