Known originally as Bulimba Gospel Hall. Commercial Road was originally known as Bulimba Road. The land was acquired by the Queensland Stewarts Company. This company set up in 1913 to acquire land for Brethren congregations. The objects of the Company were described '' are for the purpose of promoting, promulgating, teaching, and practising, and in making and asslsting thereof of the doctrine and precepts as in the Memorandum of Association set forth, more surely believcd, taught, and practised amongst a bodv of Christian Believers who adopt no secterian name, but sImply call themselves Christians (commonly spoken of as the Brethren) The building was possibly used for other uses from the 1940s |
