Built as church-school. Residence adjacent. Total cost £350

'The building, tasteful to a high degree, is 32 feet long by 18 in breadth, with spire facing the west, 30 feet in height, ending with beautifully cut-out openings for bell and clock. Situated on a gently rising eminence, the building has a fine appearance when seen from the river or from any of the surrounding elevated grounds. The proportions of the building, on which the beauty of a structure so much depends, have been greatly admired.'
