QT 11 Nov 1879 notes that a tea meeting was held at the Eden Moor Church. People travelled by train which stopped at the church which was close to the line. The land on which the church was built was owned by John Lane. An ad in the QT called for tenders for the removal of the church on 25 Mar 1882
