The old church was incorporated into the back of the new building as a sacristy and confessional. Mr. Bernard Lott designed the building along the lines of the new Goroka Cathedral in New Guinea. Mr. Antony Valle of Parkside, with the assistance of five men of the parish, erected the new building in one day.
