' The ceiling is carried up the rafters some little distanmce, so that a height of about 20ft is given from the centre of the floor to the ceiling. The edifice is splendidly liighted, being provided with an abundance of windows. Above the sanctuary is a large window, containing three Gothic arches with ecclesiastical glass. Over the entrance portico is another, but .smaller, cathedral glass window. On either side-wall are six Gothic arched windows. ' (QT 1 Aug 1905) |
