| This chapel was built at a major US Army Camp at Nerimbera near Rockhampton. This chapel was ecumenical and constructed of local stone and timber cut from the surrounding area. The initiative for the construction of the chapel came from US Army chaplains. These chaplains oversaw the design of the chapel and included two Protestant, one Roman Catholic and a Jewish rabbi. |
